Our Story
Shale fracking and bio-digestors often produced methane gas in relatively small quantities making them economically challenging to capture, transport, and utilize. Rather than expending the effort associated with the collection, these gasses are “flared” (controlled combustion). This resource-negative practice is now recognized as a significant environmental problem, as 150 billion m3 of methane gas is flared worldwide, contaminating the environment with 400 million tons of CO2 per year. We aspire to apply cutting-edge technology to solve the energy and environmental issues caused by overconsumption and wastage. So, MARS (Methane Aromatization ReactorS) Technology LLC is founded in 2020 to commercialize Prof. Liu’s methane conversion technology for industrial use and mitigation of greenhouse gas emission.
